The university is keen on developing and activating health, safety, and environmental awareness programs. To mark the occasion of Eid Al-Adha, the Community Service and Environment Office at the Libyan International Medical University launched an awareness campaign titled “Eid Al-Adha in a Safe and Healthy Environment.” Students from the Faculty of Medicine participated as volunteers in the campaign.
The campaign targeted citizens at health centers, hospitals, and shopping areas. Volunteers explained the importance of maintaining the environment by following public health rules and safely disposing of sacrificial waste in designated areas set by the Benghazi Municipality within city neighborhoods. They also emphasized following COVID-19 precautionary measures.
The campaign lasted for two consecutive days, July 17 and 18.
