There is a close link between adherence to the law and the success of relationships in society. There is no society without laws and rules that organize it. Therefore, laws are put in place to solve many societal problems, preserve rights and duties, and protect and safeguard personal freedoms. Respecting the law is a civilized behavior and a culture sought by all societies because the alternative is chaos and loss of security.
To promote the principle of the rule of law and from a sense of social responsibility, the Libyan International Medical University launched a series of activities and programs to promote awareness and call for respecting the law. The university president announced this campaign under the slogan “I Respect the Law” in a press conference through various media outlets on January 1, 2022, at the university.
Subsequently, the Community Service and Environment Office at the university organized a number of activities, including distributing campaign stickers and raising awareness among the university community and the surrounding community to join the campaign. It also included training volunteer students on the awareness process and holding a dialogue session for students on the rule of law in society, managed by Dr. Mohamed Bin Salim and legal expert Ms. Fareeha Al-Jailani from the Al-Mizan Organization.
