The Libyan International University celebrated World Bicycle Day on June 3rd, promoting environmentally friendly practices and sustainability in all its activities.
The university organized a large-scale bicycle rally, with approximately 90 cyclists from various segments, including university students, employees, and faculty members. The Eastern Region Cycling Union also participated, with notable attendance from the White Falcon Team and the Junior Team of the Libyan Cycling Organization. Enthusiasts of physical activities and cycling from various segments, including adults, children, and women, also joined.
The university president, Dr. Mohamed Saad, welcomed the participants. He expressed his happiness at the presence of this group of cycling enthusiasts and practitioners of this beautiful, environmentally friendly sport. He confirmed that this event aligns with the university’s goals to become a sustainable university in all its activities.
This environmentally friendly rally aims to encourage students, employees, and all members of the community to use environmentally friendly means of transportation, such as bicycles, which contribute to improving the environment.
