International University Strengthens Partnerships with Civil Society Organizations

The Libyan International University has reinforced its community partnerships by signing three memoranda of understanding with leading institutions.

In a step that embodies its role as a beacon of knowledge and a platform for positive change, the university announced the enhancement of its social responsibility strategy through a series of strategic partnerships with a select group of active civil society organizations.

The signing ceremony, hosted at the Promising Libya Hall on the morning of Wednesday, December 31, 2025, marked the official inclusion of the Benghazi Scouts and Guides Commission, the Hope Makers Foundation, and the Youth Voluntary Work Organization into the university’s partner network. This initiative reflects the efforts of the University’s Office of Social Responsibility and Sustainability to institutionalize cooperation and transform voluntary work into a sustainable organizational practice.

President’s Address: Tribute to Authenticity and Generosity

During the ceremony, the University President delivered a welcoming speech, expressing pride in this distinguished group of volunteers, stating:
“What we witness today is a continuation of the noble efforts of our sons and daughters. These efforts stem from the authenticity of this society and its rich cultural heritage, founded on values of giving and generosity.”

He praised the vital role these organizations play in serving the nation, emphasizing that the university is not merely a place for study, but a key partner in community development and a supporter of every effort that contributes to the public good.

The event concluded with the official signing of three cooperation agreements, designed to establish a practical framework that combines the university’s academic expertise with the field energy of civil society organizations. This collaboration ensures the implementation of programs and initiatives that serve all segments of society and advance the goals of sustainable development.
