In collaboration with “Hope Makers”
Al-Khair University does not only produce sound and beneficial knowledge; it places at the heart of its strategy the promotion of noble values and the affirmation of meaningful upbringing as one of the highest international goals.
Following this path, the students of the Libyan International University concluded yesterday, Sunday, the 11th of the blessed month of Ramadan, corresponding to March 1, 2026, the activities of their Ramadan campaign “Ramadan Food Drive” in its third consecutive edition. This initiative was born from their own ideas, organized and managed directly by them.
The students undertook all stages of planning—from launching the campaign idea to collecting monetary and in-kind donations from benefactors and securing the required food supplies. At exactly 12:00 noon, the university courtyards turned into a large workshop, professionally managed by student volunteers, to prepare comprehensive food baskets carefully composed of high-quality items to support needy families.
In a gesture reflecting the spirit of one family within the campus, a large number of university staff (both academic and administrative) joined their students—not as supervisors but as supportive volunteers. They participated in packaging, arranging, and preparing the baskets, in a scene that embodied the solidarity among the university’s community in serving the noble humanitarian goal set by the students.
To ensure that aid reaches its rightful recipients with precision and professionalism, the organizers announced that the distribution of these baskets will be carried out in cooperation with the Hope Makers Foundation. This coordination comes as part of a previously signed memorandum of cooperation between the university and the foundation, aiming to unify efforts in charitable work and guarantee efficient field operations to reach the families listed in the foundation’s records.
