Student Initiatives in Charitable Work

This university is founded on principles and values that go beyond its pioneering role in advancing higher education in Libya. Since its establishment, it has embraced the mission of promoting social values that align seamlessly with its educational efforts.

In this context, and under the supervision of the Community Responsibility and Sustainability Unit at the Basic Medical Sciences Program of the Libyan International University, third-year students of the program participated in organizing and overseeing the Maa’idat al-Rahman (Charity Iftar Table) on Boumediene Street, in collaboration with the Hope Makers Foundation.

The initiative witnessed the participation of students Ali Omar, Mohamed Mahmoud, and Zakaria Mahmoud for four consecutive days, including packaging food supplies at the foundation’s headquarters. Students Saad Ibrahim and Ibrahim Khaled also took part in one of the tent activities, reflecting the spirit of cooperation and initiative among the program’s students.

The participation further included a visit to the Maa’idat al-Rahman supervised by the Benghazi Scouts and Guides Commission, in a step that highlights social responsibility and the students’ commitment to serving the community.

The program values these outstanding volunteer efforts and encourages its students to continue humanitarian initiatives that strengthen the values of generosity and solidarity.

A special note of appreciation is extended by Program Director Prof. Abdullah Al-Mansouri for the students’ efforts and the spirit of cooperation and dedication they demonstrated in voluntary work and community service.
