Libyan International University Enhances Institutional Integration to Support Volunteering and Social Responsibility
Reaffirming its role in serving the community and advancing sustainability goals, the Office of Social Responsibility and Sustainability at the Libyan International University held a coordination meeting on Monday, June 15, 2026. The meeting brought together the Office of Business Operations, the Office of Faculty Affairs, the Software Department, and the Business Operations Project Team to discuss mechanisms for engaging faculty members and staff in volunteer programs, in line with the Volunteer Work Procedures Guide approved under University President’s Decision No. (78) of 2025.
The meeting reflects the university’s commitment to unifying academic, administrative, and technical efforts to strengthen the volunteering system, mobilize available resources to support social responsibility programs, and expand the participation of university members in community, humanitarian, and environmental initiatives.
Participants also discussed the development of the university’s volunteering platform, including the creation of dedicated electronic interfaces for faculty and staff, as well as streamlined procedures for registration, monitoring, and electronic documentation of volunteer activities. These enhancements aim to improve the platform’s efficiency and ensure the achievement of its objectives.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Ms. Wahiba Al-Hassi emphasized that social responsibility is a shared institutional duty that integrates academic, administrative, and technical roles. She noted that developing the volunteering platform and expanding faculty and staff participation will enhance the university’s community impact and consolidate its position as an active partner in achieving sustainable development.
