On World Health Day: The Role of the International University in Addressing Health Sector Challenges

The first scientific session of World Health Day commenced with a valuable presentation entitled “Challenges of the Health System in Libya”, delivered by Dr. Miftah Al-Tawilb, Director General of the National Center for Health System Development and Director of International and Academic Relations at the International University.

This was followed by the main theme: The Role of the International University in Addressing Certain Challenges of the Health Sector, with contributions from:

  • Dr. Abdulbasit Al-Gharyani Presentation Title: Health Informatics Program
  • Prof. Dr. Suleiman Al-Sharif Presentation Title: Doctor of Pharmacy Program
  • Dr. Othman Al-Tajouri Presentation Title: Nursing Sciences Program
  • Dr. Moataz Al-Hassi Presentation Title: The University’s Applied Model in the Family Medicine Program

The third theme featured: Research Presentations by Graduates of the Master’s Program in Health Care (First Cohort), with contributions from:

  • Dr. Mahmoud Adbish
  • Dr. Rehan Al-Obaidi
  • Dr. Al-Hassan Al-Mahdawi

The celebration of World Health Day witnessed highly significant discussions characterized by scientific rigor, transparency, and precise, impartial analysis of the health sector in Libya.

The discussions were skillfully moderated by Dr. Ali Saeed Al-Barghathi, Vice President of the University for Community Responsibility, who emphasized that all orientations and contributions of the International University since its establishment have been firmly rooted in its unwavering belief in social responsibility.
