On the morning of Thursday, May 7, 2026, the President of the University, Professor Dr. Mohamed Saad Embark, received in his office the Director General of the Libyan Center for Climate Change Research, Professor Dr. Al-Hadi Al-Mabrouk Buqrin, and the Director of the Center, Dr. Wadha Fonas.
This visit came in response to a gracious invitation extended by Professor Dr. Nora Al-Tajouri, Director of the Department of Environment and Sustainability at the International University.
The University President warmly welcomed the distinguished guests, expressing his pride in this visit which opens wide prospects for cooperation, integration, and exchange of expertise. He emphasized that the International University attaches great importance to environmental and sustainability issues and welcomes partnerships with institutions that share this commitment and mission.
He further directed that a memorandum of understanding between the two parties—the International University and the Libyan Center for Climate Change Research—be expedited.
