Signing of a Cooperation Agreement between the International University and the Libyan Association for Climate, Environment, and Development

Crowning weeks of fruitful meetings and reflecting the shared desire of both parties to move toward practical steps of integration and joint cooperation, the National Unity Hall hosted on the morning of Sunday, June 7, 2026, the signing ceremony of a scientific and research cooperation agreement between the Libyan International University and the Libyan Association for Climate, Environment, and Development.

The ceremony was attended by His Excellency the Minister of Environment, Dr. Mohamed Abdel Hafiz, and the President of the Libyan International University, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Saad Embark.

Also present were Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdullah Lama, Chairman of the Board of the Libyan Association for Climate, Environment, and Development; Prof. Dr. Nora Naseeb, Director of the Department of Environment and Sustainability at the International University; Dr. Dohaa Bounas, Director of the Libyan Center for Climate Change Research; along with members from both sides and stakeholders concerned with environmental and sustainability issues.

This agreement aims to strengthen scientific, academic, and technical cooperation between the two institutions in fields related to climate change, environment, and sustainable development. It seeks to support scientific research, serve the community, and contribute to achieving sustainable development in Libya.
