The Forest of (Poinciana… Garden Blossoms)
More than 70 Jacaranda trees—a species of Poinciana (Royal Poinciana/Flamboyant)**—were planted today, Friday, June 7, 2024, in the space opposite the International University. This area was previously occupied by kiosks.
Soon, these Poinciana “Princesses” will bloom with their vibrant, evergreen colors, rising high into the sky above the International University. They will create a stunning view for onlookers, offer deep shade for those sitting, and a fountain will rise in the center, adding a new, lush green space in our beloved Benghazi.
This effort comes as part of the University’s policy of caring for the environment and planting a culture of greenery and growth. It is a practical reflection of the values of this University, which just yesterday commemorated World Environment Day.
