According to what is typical for such gatherings, we expected the content of this forum to be entirely celebratory, dominated by recreational and social aspects… but what happened was otherwise.
This was an exceptional forum, stepping outside the ordinary to address issues of paramount importance: the series of dangerous challenges currently facing education worldwide and the literal ‘revolution’ targeting its foundations, heritage, and accumulated knowledge.
With full awareness of what is surrounding and escalating globally, including the forecasts of the ‘Glacier Collapse’ in education—the serious challenges that have already begun to besiege traditional education—the digital revolution and artificial intelligence: curricula, teaching and learning methods, the concept of apprenticeship and fellowship, the concept of the classroom, and the skills, culture, and passion of the faculty member.
At the heart of these profound changes, the valuable speeches and lectures were centered. They were inaugurated by the President of the University, Professor Dr. Mohamed Saad Embark, followed by the eminent scholar and strategic expert in education, Professor Abdulsalam Al-Gallali, and then a speech by the founder of Dentistry at the University and one of the profession’s elders, Professor Dr. Al-Senussi Taher.
The conclusion of these valuable lectures was with the Director of the Department of Total Quality Management, Prof. Dr. Abdul Majeed Hussein.
All of this was present during the activities of the Faculty Forum, which commenced yesterday morning, Thursday, September 11, 2025, at nine o’clock, in the Al-Mujahed Ahmed Al-Sharif Hall. The event was attended by the President of the University, the International University’s guest—mathematician and educational expert Professor Dr. Abdulsalam Al-Gallali—the University’s faculty family, and the leaders and staff of the International University.
