Framing Pathways of Cooperation Between the Agencies of Graduate Studies and Community Responsibility

On Thursday morning, November 20, 2025, the Libyan International University witnessed the signing of an important coordination memorandum between the Agency of Graduate Studies and the Agency of Community Responsibility and Sustainability. The memorandum aims to frame avenues of joint cooperation in implementing priorities of applied research in the field of community responsibility and sustainability.

The cooperation memorandum aspires to adopt a work plan that directs academic theses within graduate programs to serve the priorities of applied research in community responsibility and sustainability, while ensuring the necessary financial support through the budget allocated for this purpose.

This memorandum comes as part of the vision of the Libyan International University and in fulfillment of the executive plan of the Graduate Studies Agency, which seeks to link research priorities in graduate programs with the requirements of community development and sustainability.

In the coming period, both parties will work to attract additional financial resources from outside the university to ensure the sustainability of the project.

The memorandum was signed on behalf of the Graduate Studies Agency by Professor Dr. Mustafa Al-Fakhri, Director of Graduate Studies at the Libyan International University and acting head of the agency. On behalf of the Agency of Community Responsibility and Sustainability, it was signed by Ms. Waheba Al-Hassi, Director of Community Responsibility and Sustainability, representing Dr. Ali Saeed, Deputy of Community Responsibility and Sustainability at the university.

This cooperation represents a practical step towards translating the university’s vision into tangible reality, by unifying efforts to serve community issues and sustainable development, and by strengthening the role of scientific research as an effective tool in addressing local challenges.
